Leaving C-8 unattended

When the boat is unattended for up to 1 month

For security reasons, and to optimize the lifespan of the boat, follow the instructions below when the boat is unattended:

  1. Apply Harbor mode.
  2. Connect the charging cable.
  3. Check on the UI screen that charging is ongoing.
  4. Set charging limit to 80% state of charge.
  5. Turn off the ignition key - The boat goes in sleep mode.

NOTICE! When in sleep mode, some systems remain active and may slowly discharge the battery over long periods of time if the boat is not charging. Therefore additional steps are necessary for uncharged long term unattendance.

If charging is not desired or not possible, follow the instructions below instead:

  1. Apply Harbor mode.
  2. Disconnect the charging cable if this one was previously connected.
  3. Ensure the battery state of charge is between 15% and 80%.
  4. If above 80%, use the boat to lower state of charge.
  5. If below 15%, the boat must be charged. Contact Candela aftermarket for guidance if there are absolutely no means of charging available.
  6. Turn off the ignition key.
  7. Turn off the UI screen using the power off button on screen.
  8. Turn off the 12V main switch.

NOTICE! When the 12V battery switch is off, the automatic bilge pumps will not work and the boat will be offline.
